Dialogue Tolerance and Peace; Leaving No One Behind

The Radio Festival

The theme of World Radio Day 2019 is ‘Dialogue, Tolerance and Peace: Leaving No One Behind’. The occasion is an opportunity for radio stations to showcase their ability to act as platforms for dialogue and civic participation, to inspire an understanding of radio’s potential as a driver of peace, and to pave the way for transformative action.

On the occasion of World Radio Day 2019, UNESCO Office in New Delhi and Seeking Modern Applications for Real Transformation (SMART) are co-organizing the second edition of The Radio Festival. The Radio Festival will be held at UNESCO New Delhi, and will include an inaugural session, a plenary session on the theme ‘Leaving No One Behind’, panel discussions, thematic sessions, interactions with popular RJs, an exhibition, artworks inspired by radio, and live performances.

Participants will include representatives of the Government of India, United Nations, media practitioners, media associations and federations, development agencies, civil society organizations, youth organizations, and academia.
