World Radio Day in Washington D.C.

The Spanish Radio Academy and the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) will celebrate the World Radio Day in Washington D.C.

The Spanish Radio Academy will present its international award to the National Association of Broadcasters -NAB in Washington D.C. at a public event that will be attended by the Ambassador of Spain in the US, the president of the NAB and the president of the Academy.

The NAB was founded in 1923 and is the oldest and most prestigious broadcasting organization in the world and also has the largest number of associated radio stations. For these reasons and, especially, because its president, Senator Gordon Smith, supported the Spanish Radio Academy in its initiative for the establishment of World Radio Day by UNESCO, in 2011.

The Academy´s World Radio Day Award is sponsored by the international company AEQ.
