UNESCO–IAWRT Radio Festival

Celebration of World Radio Day at UNESCO New Delhi
India’s first Radio Festival

Radio continues to be the most dynamic, reactive and engaging medium there is. Led by UNESCO, World Radio Day (13 February) was established as a UN International Day in 2011. World Radio Day seeks to celebrate radio as a medium, and bring together radio practitioners, listeners, stations, networks and public service broadcasters to share experiences and explore possible collaborations.

The UNESCO–IAWRT Radio Festival in New Delhi will bring together public, private and community radio and audio players on a single platform to celebrate the best of sound art and craft. A range of stakeholders will deliberate on multiple themes related to radio; demonstrate new radio campaigns and technologies; showcase audio installations; and build creative partnerships.
