Alfaz-e-Mewat celebrates World Radio Day talking about life skills provided by sports

We all know that ports are beneficial for our physical health. But, in recent years, research has also found that participation in sports can positively affect our mental health. Sports also provides social benefits by allowing us to connect with teammates and friends in a recreational setting.
This World Radio Day, community radio Alfaz-e-Mewat FM 107.8 will broadcast shows on the life skills that sports provides. People of all ages face problems and issues and we often falter to handle situations that further affect our mental and physical health. When we are physically active, our mind is distracted from daily stresses. This can help us avoid getting bogged down by negative thoughts. Exercise or sports reduces the levels of stress hormones in our body. At the same time, it stimulates production of endorphins, the natural mood lifters that can keep stress and depression at bay. Sports also teaches us acceptance to failure, help us cope with tough times, plan strategically, learn teamwork and much more. We will be interviewing sports persons from Nuh who will share the place sports holds in their lives.
