MELBOURNE WE LOVE YOU- BOURKE ST BUSKERS COMPILATION
BOURKE ST MALL BUSKERS
A 90 minute tribute to those families and individuals who were personally affected by the senseless Bourke St Mall rampage on 20th January 2017.

The BOURKE ST MALL BUSKERS  are a group of Melbourne musicians who perform rain, hail, or shine in the Bourke St Mall in the heart of the city of Melbourne, Australia.
At around 2:00 pm on Friday 20th January 2017, A man now know to be Dimitrious “Jimmy” Gargasoulas, 26, deliberately drove a stolen red commodore through the Bourke St Mall, resulting in injuries to at least 37 people and the death of 6 people, including
Matthew Si, 33, Jess Mudie 22, 10-year-old Thalia Hakin, three-month-old Zachary Bryant and a 25-year-old Japanese man who was understood to have been in Australia for about a year and studying in Melbourne.

Families and friends of the victims have continued to share photographs and memories of their loved ones, as the fallout from the days tragedy still sweeps Victoria.

Broken-hearted Melbournians left thousands of floral and written tributes for the victims, including hand-written notes, flowers and teddy bears left for Thalia and Zachary.
In true Melbournian spirit, the BOURKE ST MALL BUSKERS, spearheaded by Nadav Tabak banded together and enlisted the support of Christopher Cincotta(https://www.facebook.com/EnruobleM), DEX Audio Melbourne (http://www.dexaudio.com.au/), Ivan(Choi)Khatchoiyan Production(https://choirecords.bandcamp.com/) and Nadav Tabak & Alex Champ-Opal Ocean(www.opalocean.com.au) to record a double CD compilation of the works of the BOURKE ST MALL BUSKERS, with the proceeds going to a fund to help the families of victims of the Bourke St Mall Rampage

On Friday 4th February 2017, the BOURKE ST MALL BUSKERS staged a 10 hour Memorial concert in the BOURKE ST MALL from 10am-10 pm with over 35 buskers performing. The compilation CD was on sale all day and resulted in $280,000 collectively donated to the aforementioned support fund to help affected families.
On Monday 13th February 2017 from 8:00 pm-9;30 pm (AEST- Australian Eastern Standard Time), I will be presenting a WORLD RADIO DAY tribute to this amazing effort by playing tracks from the compilation CD - MELBOURNE WE LOVE YOU- BOURKE ST BUSKERS COMPILATION.
