South Sudan 2018 World Radio Day Celebrations
South Sudan will join the rest of the world to celebrate 2018 World Radio Day.
The event will take place under the theme “Radio and Sports” at the University of Juba Play Ground on Tuesday, 13 February 2018
The key line-ups activities of the day include keynote speeches from different radio stations and supporting organizations. Hon. Dr. Nadia Arop Dudi, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports is expected to deliver the keynote address.
In addition to the remarks and speeches, there will be a football match between Radio journalists and national football coaches as well as traditional dances from different cultural groups.
World Radio Day is a day to celebrate radio as a medium; to improve international cooperation between broadcasters; and to encourage major networks and community radio alike to promote access to information, freedom of expression and gender equality over the airwaves.
