Reprieve Media CIC Presents World Radio Day 2018
It features a look at the organisation involved in the promotion and event organising of sport for the Disabled here in Peterborough, we look at the organisation, promote their Sporting Saturday, marketed as the biggest ever disability event here in Peterborough, on 24th February, and take a quick look at some of the organisations that deliver the sporting opportunities to all in here in Peterborough.
Also, we have an interview with a local fundraiser, who is doing a charity skydive in aid of Sue Ryder Hospice in Peterborough, what has this got to do with sport I hear you ask? Well he happens to be the groundsman of our local professional football team, Peterborough United, so he is also placed to tell us of all the great work done by the club in support of his events, and within the community.
We also have the interview carried out by UNESCO, with female sports broadcaster Fazeela Saba, which we sourced from the WRD website, plus we have a tribute to a former England football captain, and famous radio commentator Jimmy Armfield, who sadly passed last month, from BBC five live. Last but not least, we have the BBC Asian Network documentary looking at the four asian cricketers who toured India & Bangladesh last winter, the first time four asian bred players had played in an England cricket test 11 team in the same match.
