Open Forum on World Radio Day ; experience sharing

How does radio impact your life?
How has radio been evolving since its introduction in Ghana since 1935?

Ghana joins the international community to celebrate World Radio Day on February 13th, 2017.

FRI in partnership with UNESCO in Ghana is encouraging the general public to celebrate radio and  innovative ways of using ICT devices as powerful tools and catalyst for development.  We are inviting all key players and stakeholders in the radio communication,  to share ideas on how radio is impacting the lives especially in rural areas and how it can be improved.

The major  activity marking the day will be  an Open Forum to held in Accra on February 13, 2017. At the Forum individualsand organisations will present  how they have been using radio and its impact and the future of radio. There will be video presentation of messages from  UNESCO and  FRI as well as  photographic presentations and display booth of brochures and flyers . It is proposed to have morning shows and  quizz competition to precede the day. The forum will be covered  live by a radio station.

FRI is also  encouraging its partners  and non partner stations  across board, that is public, commercial and community radio stations  to  produce and broadcast programmes on  radio and how it affects the lives of people and how its use can be improved since 1935 when it was introduced in Ghana.
